Maro is being designed as a native app for iPhone and Android, with a familiar way to receive, send, swap, and eventually use shielded funds on Solana.

The mobile app is planned around the actions you already expect from a wallet:

  • Receive

    Using fresh addresses where supported.

  • Send and swap

    On Solana, the way you already expect.

  • Shield

    Transact privately and unshield once the shielded vault is available.

  • Review

    See your activity and what an outside observer could see on-chain.

Know what is actually private

The app will distinguish between three kinds of activity:

  • Public transactionFully visible on Solana.
  • Fresh addressReduces address reuse, but is still public.
  • Shielded vaultDetails kept inside the shared pool.

Private transactions on your device

For the planned shielded vault, Maro aims to generate zero-knowledge proofs on your phone. We'll publish supported devices, performance requirements, and security details after implementation and testing.
